I’m sitting at a long, raw edge wood table. One designed for communal meals. Running along it’s center is a living garden. Plants grow out of it where centerpieces would be. Across the table, I can see Utopia Hostel’s bar.

Thanks Mexico, We’ll Be Coming Bacalar
Since we got here in the dark, we didn’t see the lake until this morning. It is a stunning combination of blues depending on the depth and our hotel was right on the water. We are going to spend a few days here getting our things in order and making sure we are ready to cross the border into Belize. This will be our final Mexican city, and let me tell you it is a spectacular way to wrap up a country.
Mainly Mainland
Mainland Mexico is a whole different world than Baja!
Once back in La Paz, we went straight to the ferry office to book our overnight passage to Mazatlan the next day. Everything we’d read about the ferry said it was wonderful, as long as you got a cabin. If you didn’t it was a nightmare. They were sold out of cabins.
Patience Practice
Wow, this is my (Josh’s) first attempt at writing a blog post in a long time, so please bear with me while I get back in the swing of things. I’m also writing this on my phone because I sold my computer last night. And for my final excuse, I just stole one of my father-in-law’s apple fritters and my fingers are sticky.
